A Streaming of Consciousness
Beyond the Zen Waterfall
This gallery of Non-Digital photos is a collection of diverse images arranged in no particular order. There are cloud beings, a fruit basket and California poppies among others and the last image contains a quote about the Beatles. The second image entitled "Zen Waterfall #1" is a photo of a small simple irrigation ditch waterfall, created by boards in a concrete structure. Despite the unique splendor of its colors, no filter of any kind was used. When I took the picture, the water looked clear and essentially colorless. I thought this would be a good place to begin this "streaming" of my random conscientious consciousness. Downstream, we encounter the waterfall once again in the image entitled "Waterfall Feathers and Faces". This too was a surprise outcome when I took another shot of the clear water flow shooting towards the crest of the fall.
But the mysterious splendor of water is not even the secondary theme of this collection. That is being developed for another project. "A Streaming of Consciousness - Beyond the Zen Waterfall" has no consciously designed definative, overriding theme. If a "whole is greater than the sum of its parts" thing happens while viewing this gallery, that was not intended. Individually, the images do have definate meanings, in most cases confirmed by the titles. And if in the mind of the viewer they somehow reveal a thread of consequential connection to one another despite the disparities, then that must be what can happen when streaming, on beyond, such a waterfall...
